Cllr. Deweh E. Gray
Deweh E. Gray has served on the Board of Directors (BoD) of Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa (GPFA) since 2012 and served as the GPFA’s Board of Directors (BoD) Chairperson from 2012 – 2016. She is a Counsellor-at-Law of the Supreme Court Bar of the Republic of Liberia (RL) and presently the Deputy Minister for Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), RL, she has served as a Commissioner at the Law Reform Commission of Liberia. Prior to occupying that position, she served as President of the Association of Female Lawyers of Liberia (AFELL) for two and a half years. She has been and is still actively involved in advocacy campaigns for the protection and promotion of the rights of women and children in Liberia. During her tenure as head of AFELL Deweh assisted in the prosecution of rape cases and also with the relocation of victims while they underwent trial. Deweh is also a Managing Partner of the JSGB Law Firm. This Firm engages in litigation of cases for indigent women at a reduced and affordable cost so that these women can access the justice system.
