Since her returned home from overseas Fatu has been running the family business that engages in the manufacture of wood and aluminum products. During the civil war in 1996 in Liberia she went to work for a few years at the GTZ (The German Technical Agency) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and in Kigali, Rwanda where she served as Project Coordinator. The Liberia Woodwork Construction & Trading Corporation currently offers free training and internship to young people in the field of carpentry.
GPFA Inspiration: I was inspired to join GPFA because of its founder Nobel Peace Laureate Leymah R. Gbowee. I wanted to share in impacting the lives of our young people especially young girls, one person at a time, one community at a time, recognizing that giving back is not only a need, but a must.”
