Ms. Lovette Azango-Tucker
Ms. Tucker joined Gbowee Peace Foundation-Africa in August 2018 as its newest Executive Director. She brings to this position a wealth of experience. She has spent most of her adult life as a teacher and mentor in all levels from nursery to college. Most recently she served as an administrator at Cuttington University. In that position she developed the Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies which provides training in the pedagogy of teaching to university lecturers who have not had previous teaching responsibilities. This program also serves as a springboard for teachers at the K-12 levels with undergraduate degrees to earn masters degrees in teaching (MAT).
Ms. Tucker has also served in various capacities at non-profit organizations and is a successful grant writer. She has written successful grants for high-school to college preparatory programs and sports events. Ms. Tucker is passionate that her body of work focuses on mentoring and empowering young children and women to participate, succeed and excel in all facets of life.
