We appreciate your interest in volunteering with Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa. There are many short and long-term opportunities to volunteer throughout the year, from administrative tasks around the office through to volunteering with our peacebuilding camps.
VOLUNTEER AT SOME OF OUR PROGRAMS
An Annual Youth Campactivity seeking to promote peace and nonviolence throughout Africa by building youth (ages 10 – 16) competencies to become peace advocates and leaders in their communities and schools
An initiative of the PeaceJam Foundation, USA whose mission is “to create young leaders committed to positive change in themselves, their communities, and the world through the inspiration of Nobel Peace Laureates who pass on the spirit, skills, and wisdom they embody.”
The 1-week long program explores topics that are pressing for emerging self-motivated young women interested in developing transformational leadership skills that will help them address issues facing women and girls across communities in Liberia.

Why I Volunteer
Volunteering at the Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa gave me the opportunity to give back to my community that taught me so much while I was growing up. I believe that everyone, regardless of gender, race or class, deserves a quality education and the Book Bag Drive, along with other scholarship programs offered through GPFA gives the Liberian youth opportunities to obtain the knowledge required to drive the Liberian society forward.

I Love PeaceJam
In 2016, I was welcomed into PeaceJam Liberia as a mentor and rolled as a team mobilizer and MC action aides. It was a honeyed experience profuse will interactions with different people from every part of Liberia and foreign nationals. During this time, I realized a new part of me in fulsome of prolificacy and creativity. The dances and songs were a part but never blossomed without the smiles on the faces of the Peacejamers, the mentors, and guests.
