Shennel Henries
Meet Shennel Henries, a senior Sociology student at the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU). Shennel is an advocate and a transformational leader, who occupies so many leadership positions. She volunteers with organizations that advocate and create awareness around issues and challenges Liberian girls face. As a certified student to have completed the Young Political Leadership School, Shennel is also a member of Helping Our People Excel (HOPE) Incorporated. With an inspirational drive, Shennel serves as the Program Officer of the African Young Women Organization (AWLO) Youth chapter, the Assistant Secretary-General of GPFA/ PeaceJam Liberia (PJLIB) Power House, Vice President of the Adolescent Girls Advisory Panel (AGAP) under the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, and the Founder and Mentor of the Girl Up Club - AMEU.
