Our Scholarships

Our scholarship program allows us to identify, address, and tackle socio-economic conditions that hinder girls' education. Our 360 degrees scholarship provides financial aid, health benefits, leadership opportunities and psycho-social support to underprivileged boys and girls.

African Youth Education Initiative

African Youth Education Initiative (AYEI) aims to increase access to quality education for women and youth. Our scholars have the opportunity to study at various academic and training institutions across  Africa, Europe, and North America. 

AYEI also sponsors outstanding students with high academic marks from West Africa Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) results, including students who apply for scholarships based on adverts sent out through public notices.

Our Children's Fund

Our Children's Fund supports the following purposes: students’ tuition, rent and lodging, air tickets, medical, meals or other food items, reading and school materials, and funding for partnership with local schools and institutions.

President Fellow

GPFA’s President Fellow program is an initiative personally sponsored by Nobel Laureate Leymah Gbowee. She uses her discretion to provide assistance to children and youth in need of educational assistance that may not necessarily qualify for Scholarships under the African Youth Education Initiative.

Persons with Disabilities/Special Needs

Our scholarship program is inclusive and diverse. This category comprises individuals with special needs. Funds cover tuition, care support and learning aid.

Scholarship applications / guidelines

 

Our scholarship recruitment every year will begin on January 3-29th and July 1-31st. However, we accept scholarship applications on a rolling basis. We work with communities, institutions, and charity organizations to identify differently able, orphans, and others student with high performance.

Visit our office and submit an application letter with photocopies of all necessary documents including a recent passport size photo, transcripts, and report card.

Who qualifies?

Scholarships and Financial Aid are awarded based on academic performance (Grade B/85% or higher), commitment (exceptional ability to succeed) and need which will be determined by GPFA. Female applicants are encouraged to apply for our scholarship and financial aid opportunities.
