Local Partnerships
GPFA works with various organizations to implement its Driving Innovations through Community Development program. The overarching goal is to provide women and youth in urban and rural poor communities’ access to education, and health services by supporting small self-help projects.
FORCE
Foundation for Recreation and Children’s Education is an organization that specializes in taking students off the streets and putting them back into schools. Our 3-year partnership with FORCE provides tuitions for all 40 students at FORCE in grade 1-12 grade.
Monrovia Football Academy
Monrovia Football Academy is Liberia’s first football academy that has a gender-balanced curriculum. To encourage girls to pursue education and challenge gender stereotypes around them playing soccer, GPFA sponsors 10 girls. These girls come from both rural and urban communities.
Christian Community Institute
Christian Community Institute is a junior high school that is currently undergoing expansion due to an increase in student enrollment. Our partnership includes monetary contributions towards the expansion of the school, improving classroom infrastructures and subsidizing teachers' salaries.
Youth for Change
Youth for Change is a non-for-profit organization that equips youth of Liberia with the skills they need to transform the future of Liberia. Our partnership supports their Educational Empowerment Hub and Liberia National Debate Championship 2019/2020 for staff stipend/compensation.
